Bella Auden Is Ordered!

I’m back from a very unexpected hiatus. Real life intervenes and always takes precedence over hobbies… but I seem to be back and in timely fashion, too! Just in time to take advantage of Dollmore’s free shipping during the month of February event! I ordered a Bella Auden head in the sales corner, only wishing I could have bought more heads. However, I didn’t discover the sales and event soon enough to budget for more than one item, I’m afraid. Well… there is also two rings thrown in as well, but just frivolities on the whole.

I’ve always loved the Bella Auden mold. Was never quite sure I would own one, but she has such a uniqueness to her that cries out to me… much like the Lilis Liv sculpt. In fact, they’re very similar in appearance. Ah well~ ^_~ I can’t wait for her to arrive. Not at all sure what I want to do with her… whether to make her female or even male, or what character she will inspire, but I’m more excited over it than I expected to be! I ordered her February 28th and she shipped on March 4th. No tracking number, though, so patience is my best friend….. =taps all ten digits and fidgets!=

In other news, I’ve done some mold overhauls. Bael has, more to my surprise than I ever expected to be, evolved into an Iple House Claude or Eric. Honestly, I always thought the Volks F-38 head was simply too perfect…. until I laid eyes on Claude! That smirk did me in and now Bael will forevermore be a Claude or Eric… whichever I get my hands one first, when I get to purchase him. Remiel needs his Bael… =sighs= I’ve also added some more profiles, cleaned up some listings, re-arranged a few things, and am generally getting the site ready for an update. It needs a much more adaptive layout and I’m well past due for it.

I’ve recently been working on the MNF Karsh’s eye mods, readying Corshier for finalization, and many more crafting joys!

The site, in general, is also shifting focus. This will no longer just be BJD oriented first but, rather, focus on the story first, with BJDs and project as an aside. I’m planning options for visitors who want just story info or just BJD info etc. Options, ftw!

And on that note…. I have been working on the stories once more. It’s been awhile, and been hard to work on them, but I’m slowly coming out of my writing funk and the stories are begging to come out. Here’s to future success!

New Horizons, Yay!

Work’s been keeping me busy, so haven’t had much time for dollieh things. However, there’s been some awesome new items come in!!! I participated in the Volks big clearance sale and got a TON of amazing items. A few I really, really wanted, too! And then, today, I finally got two faceups on my list completed at last! Abrethine and Jacera now have glorious, if inferior, faceups! Abrethine, my Anotherspace Rolly Dolly Yellow head on Bobobie Ni body, has stolen my heart now that she has her face paint. Stunning! I even have an orphaned pair of acrylics that look stunning in her! Didn’t expect to have eyes for her so soon. Would easily have gotten some glass pair, but these acrylics are WOW in her, so they stay! Just need a wig for her and she’s complete! Goodness, but she’s adorable.

And Jacera?

Oh, my stars and garters…. I’m madly in love! I loved her so much before, but now? Just… wow! And it’s not even a perfect faceup! My paints are old and pathetic, but she’s gorgeous, perfectly gorgeous!!! I still want to lower her eyelids, but don’t know if I’ll ever bring myself to do it, haha! But I’m so thrilled to know that either way, I can still pull of the look I want for my darling.

Now, for my Volks package… I ordered a 1/6 doll, a few 1/6 clothes, a handful of eyes, and five grab bags. Two were full 1/6 doll and the other three were 1/6 head bags. If I had known, even had an inkling of what those grab bags would have been, I would have ordered waaaay more. I really wish I’d known, but oh well. Suffice to say, they were HUGE and full! I got clothes, wigs, dolls, and TONS of heads! I have been taking photos and will have them up eventually.

My biggest finds were the Neo Goh 03 head and two C heads. I also got several Neo Goh 02 heads that I was amazed by. There were sooo many A heads! Can’t decide if Seishirou will end up being the 03 head or not, he’s soooo gorgeous! But an 02 head would also be awesome for his character. Also… I can’t help but want to turn one of the C heads into my Harry OC. It’s soooooo tempting! I still need a Volks EB 27cm female body then I’ll have everything complete. I did get one, but in the lovely tan skin… which wouldn’t be a problem if I didn’t also need one in normal, lol~ Ah well, I hope to nab one eventually and everyone else can have an Obitsu body, heh!

And that’s about it from this front for now. Next few weeks are gonna be super busy. Have a costume or two to make, plus a few other projects, but hopefully I can fit some dollieh timez in to finish these projects, lol!

Annette Is Home!

Oh, my goody-goodness! If I had ever doubted how much I loved the SDF Annette sculpt, my doubts have finally been laid to rest. My utterly gorgeous Annette sculpt is home! She is sooo stunning in person and came with a very lovely faceup done by the original owner. I am in love with my new girl, for sure!

What I never imagined, however, was my reaction upon seeing her in person… I cried out, “Meron!” Totally unexpected, the sculpt cries out my character Meron in so many ways! So, against all my assumptions and expectations, it seems that Meron will be re-shelled from DoD Tender Shall, which I still and always will adore, to Luts SDF Annette! My only fear is that she wouldn’t have a “sultry” enough look to her, but the more I look at the sculpt, the more potential for this I see that I don’t see enough of in owner photos. Strong brows and dark lashes will definitely transform this otherwise meek looking sculpt into something amazing! The question now is whether Eylyn will also be re-shelled into a more compatible sculpt with the SDF head… =sighs= Ah well! Now I just have to start getting all of Meron’s parts together, whee!
