    • Pol & Kor~

    Today, I made my final payment for Pol.  I asked to add on a set of Tang hands for him and a pair of feet for my Resinsoul Ni body.  Sure, her sculpted feet look cute, but I can get her fully casted resin ones, whee!  So excited about Pol coming home soon!  I really need to order Khida for him, but kinda made another big purchase already, haha~

    Switch announced the sale of twins Haseo and Seoha for this past Wednesday.  Seoha is the dreaming version of Soseo… my pick for Kor.  Haseo is mid-ways between Soseo and Seoha… so I knew I just had to nab him!  I still want a Soseo something terrible, but I can make due for now, hehe~  However, the sale started while I was at work.  Then, to beat all… I actually forgot my cellphone in the car!!  I didn’t get it until later when I went to lunch and by then it was 2:30am EST… and the heads were all sold out!  T_T  I was upset but in the Switch discussion thread at DoA a user mentioned they might still be available at FaithZ… the official dealer for Switch!  I didn’t even know about this company.  The website showed pre-order still available for the Twins.  So, after a little bit of research to be sure it was indeed legit, I went through with the purchase for Haseo!  Was just a few dollars more expensive than at the Switch website and I’ll have to wait a good month longer, but I’ve waited ages for purchases to arrive before, so I should be just fine. 

    That’s two more down on the list!  That just leaves Vieve, Alon, Tyr’h, Fahaun/Amira, Jerushe, Laeghan, Eylyn, and Khida.  My original group is almost complete!  Need a few more bodies, too, lol.  Really need to finish up sculpting the ones I’ve been working on, heh.

    The Volks body looks PERFECT on Caetahn!  It’s more childish but… nnnngggh…. it’s gorgeous!  Love love love it!

    Lastly, the Woolly Delight’s package came in and the fibers are stunning!  It even took me less time than normal to process some of the fibers, but then, I’ve also been working on a new method.  Will post if the results stay consistent!

    Quick Update – 02.09.17

    Giving a quick update on a few things.

    Finished paying off a layaway for a Volks MSD boy body.  It’s the long-legged version and was a perfect find for Caetahn.  Kinda exciting having a dolly full put together so easy like that!  It’s from 2003 and yellowed, so a perfect option for my 2004 F-09 head.  Now, to have the time to fix his overly large eyes and we’ll be set!  Only thing been holding me back is having to re-do the face-up when he has a decent one atm.  Considering how backlogged my lovvehs are for face-ups.  He’ll need a dedicated wig, though the long, silver one I have on hand looks nice on him.  Still… really needing some variety in hair color and since he doesn’t have a dedicated one yet, I want to take the opportunity to get creative!

    Still unhappy with Indar’e’s body atm and glad it’s just a temporary one…

    Made my second payment for my Resinsoul Song in coffee color.  Pol!  *_*  I can’t wait until he comes home!  I’ve waited so long and ended up deciding to just get him the human body.  I may still yet buy the Sui dragon body later and see how it looks.  We shall see, eh?  Maybe it won’t take as long to bring Khida home for him~

    Might be buying a Alice Collections kimono unless I can help myself, haha!

    Still working on processing Suri Alpaca fibers.  Brushing out the 11″+ white locks as we speak.  However, I finally placed a huge order for some more variety.   I’m a big fan of Woolly Delight on Etsy, and that’s where most of my fibers come from.  My new order consists of the following:

    2oz 11″ dark-chocolate
    6oz 7-9″ white
    4oz 5-6″ black

    I’ve been pushing to get the longer fibers, but some of the shorter fibers are best for the smaller dolls, so decided that I could try the black in the 5-6″ range.  Plus, they’re a great length for short hair!  I do kinda hope the black fibers are long enough to make a proper wig for Briean and I wanna see how it takes some hyper red dye to make the blackish red I want for his hair.  Plus, there should be plenty enough to make a better wig for Odan.  And of course, one for Pol when he gets here!  The 11″ dark-chocolate fibers I’m hoping will be perfect for Rem!  If not… I may dye the top part a lighter shade so he has that “golden” touch, haha.  Just a hint, not actually blonde.  I’ve also wondered how they would look for Meron, but her hair should also have some gray-browns and various shades of “wood”.  We shall see~

    The white goes for everyone else still needing wigs, lol.  Although, I don’t think it’s long enough for Chiaru’s wig.  That one I’ll have to invest in more 11″+ fibers.  Was also looking into some ramie instead of alpaca since they go super long.  Thought it might be worth experimenting with.

    And that’ll pretty much catch me up for now.  Back to the slave labor, er, fiber brushing!  /o\

    For Lack of Sleep

    Well, after a bit of sleep and a more refreshed mind, I had an epiphany… I didn’t actually need S-hooks for the Dollmore heeled feet!  I blame my lack of sleep for my lack of realization and not noticing the obvious.  So I sat back down with Jacera, popped her feet off, removed the S-hook from the elastic… and hooked the elastic around the foot “peg”.  And voila!  Problem solved!  She now has lovely heeled feetsies in the pretty Dale Rae white pumps.  For anyone wanting to try this hybrid, her ankles will definitely need sueding, if not some hot water boiling so that the foot ankle ball sits deeper in the shin ankle recess to create a bit more stability.  Otherwise, I have a lovely looking and elegant lady on hands!  If I go ahead with the boiled water method, I’ll post pictures. 

     

    And this morning my package arrived super early.  The seller sent not one but two pairs of pants!  Wonderful lady, she!  The jeans fit Bael beautifully, but the khaki pair she sent are way too small.  They’re tight on the 68cm body but fit nicely on the 66cm.  They’re unfortunately shorter, but they pull off being capris.  They fit the girls, though!  I get around to getting some 60cm males, or even the Mirodoll 61cm boy body I’m planning on trying for Rem, and they should fit perfect. 

    And the Freedom Teller loafers!  *_*  So lovely!!!!  They fit Bael’s foot snugly without socks, but a pair of thin socks should work out.  They should also fit the 68cm feet, but ran out of time to try them out.  Definitely gonna order a pair of boots from this seller with my next paycheck!
